The standard bridles from BudgetRuitershop.nl are supplied without a bit. You have to buy the bit separately. Which bit you choose depends on several factors. Among other things, the size of your horse's mouth, level and discipline are important when choosing a suitable bit for you and your horse.

Horse bits come in different types and materials. Different bits are used for the different disciplines. At BudgetRuitershop.nl you will find a ring snaffle bit, bus snaffle bit, toggle snaffle bit, D-bit snaffle, unbroken, single-broken or double-broken bit and also bar and snaffle, a pessoa bit, pelham or liverpool bar can be found with us.
Snaffle snaffle and single-jointed or double-jointed snaffle bit
A water snaffle has loose bit rings that can rotate. This makes the bit more mobile in the mouth. The tongue can move more easily and push less against the bit. This often gives a looser and lighter connection.
A single jointed ring snaffle has the pivot point in the middle and therefore ensures less pressure on the tongue. A double jointed snaffle bit has two hinge points and therefore a different distribution of the pressure in the horse's mouth. With a wider intermediate piece there is more support at the tongue.
Butt snaffle and single-jointed or double-jointed bust snaffle
A butt snaffle has fixed rings on the bit and is therefore quieter and more stable in the mouth. A horse can then press its tongue against the bit faster and feel a bit stiffer in the mouth. A chest snaffle is very suitable for a horse that is restless in the mouth.
A single-broken buttock snaffle has a pivot point in the middle of the mouth and puts more pressure on the sides of the mouth than on the tongue. A double-jointed buttock snaffle distributes the pressure more evenly over the tongue, corners of the mouth and layers.
Material bits
We have bits made of stainless steel (stainless steel), aurigan or copper. Rubber horse bits are also available from us, these are often a bit softer for the horse's mouth.

You measure the size of the horse bit between the rings. The width in centimeters in between is the size bit you choose. It is important that the size is right for the well-being of the horse.
